BIOGRAPHY OF MONK CHANDRUDRACHARYA

 MONK CHANDRUDRACHARYA

The inspiring story of monk Chand Rudracharya is very popular in the Jain history. My name was Rudracharya. But I was very well known as Chand Rudracharya. Do you know why? Because of my angry nature. My nature was very angry that my disciples called me Chand Rudracharya. Chand means “The Angry One”. I could not control my mind and that was my biggest fault. Whenever I see my disciples are making fun or not concentrating in meditation I immediately lost my mind and shouted at them. I realized that in order to attain omniscience one has to conquer his inner passions like anger, greed, deceit and pride but as I said, it was my biggest minus point to control my anger. I was seeking peace but I wasn’t able to diminish my anger. That’s why one day I decided to stay away from my colleague monks and people. Here I got lucky that an event occurred in which I attained permanent bliss.

It was evening time and I was meditating outside village. Then some youths who had set out for fun arrived at me. One young man of them was looking recently married by his dress. These youths, out of mischief, wanted to play some joke on me. Pointing at the newly married boy, other youths said in a jocular tone to me, “Oh monk! This young boy wants to renounce the world! Please grant him initiation!” By hearing this, I realized that they were making fun, so I decided to remain silent. The young boy also said, “Oh monk! Please grant me initiation! I don’t want to lead a mundane life!” I became angry and said loudly, “Who wants to take initiation? Come close to me.” His friends pushed that boy toward me. I quickly hold that boy and started pulled out his hair. On seeing this, the other youths ran away; but that youth did not budge an inch. I think his mind was changed and I initiated him on that spot. After becoming a monk, he said, “Oh monk! Soon my relatives would arrive here. It would be better if we left this place before dark.” I said, “Well! You are right, then go and find the way so we can start the journey.”

The young monk found the suitable way. But it got dark when we started our journey. The path was uneven, strewn with thorns all the way. I got too many jerks that my temper burst out! I said to the young monk, “You fool! Haven’t you seen the way? I told you to find the way but you have chosen the path which is full of bumps and stones. It gives me too much difficulty in walking.” The young monk said, “Oh Monk! It is my fault. Let me carry you on my shoulders. I hope you won’t feel difficulties resting on my shoulders.” He carried me on his shoulders but the path was not plain so I was feeling jerks and my mind once again lost balance. I again shouted on my disciple, “You wretch! Don’t you know how to walk? You can’t walk properly in the way; tell me how would you be able to live a life of a monk? How would you bear hardships in your future?”

Actually I had lost my mind’s balance, because an angry man doesn’t think longer. I forgot that my disciple was walking through uneven path under pitch darkness. He was also carrying me on his shoulders. His feet were bruised with blisters and stained with blood. But I was also in darkness, the darkness of anger! I started hitting him on his head with the stick I was holding in my hand.
I said him, “Whenever I will feel bump, I will hit you with this stick. The young monk was in extremely difficult condition. But instead of getting angry on me he started thinking, “How unlucky I am? I cannot give peace to my head monk. He is old in age and he is facing too much problems because of me. Consequent upon his deep repentance, his thinking was purified and soon he attained omniscience. Now he could walk properly even in pitch darkness. I asked him, "How is that? How can you walk so steady now?" The disciple said, “Oh Monk! It is your blessings!” His voice was very calm and sweet. I couldn’t understand what the reason was! I again asked, “Have you gained some spiritual knowledge?” He again said, “Yes Monk! It is your blessings!” I got freeze! I asked him to confirm, “What type of knowledge you have gained?” He said, “I have gained omniscience!”

On hearing this, I quickly jumped off his shoulders and fell at his feet. I started confess in my mind…… “Oh! I insulted an omniscient by hitting him on his head. How great he is! He doesn’t know Jain philosophy; he jokingly got initiated this evening and married this morning! What a power of forgiveness! Just by forgiving me he attained omniscience! On the other hand how fool I am? I know all the scriptures, I am head of too many disciples, and however I am too far from reality! Just because of my angry nature, I remained too far from omniscience! When would the moment come when I will also attain omniscience? When would I get rid of my inner passions? On confessing this I burnt karmas and soon my thoughts also vanished. I then reached beyond mind. My joy was increasing and increasing! How was this joy? There are no words to describe this joy; there are no imaginations that can reach at this level! I reached on the level where no words, thoughts, imaginations can reach! I felt that I was climbing some ladder which was ending to emancipation. Suddenly something unfolded inside me and I became omniscient. The whole universe reflected inside me! I knew all the feelings of every form of living beings in the entire universe! I gained complete knowledge of past, present and future.

I became omniscient is not important. My disciple became omniscient before me is most important and he gifted me omniscience, that is important. He taught me how to overcome your inner passions and how great is the power of forgiveness!

TIRUMALA TIRUPATI-BALAJI: A DRAVID JAIN TEMPLE

TIRUMALA TIRUPATI-BALAJI: A DRAVID JAIN TEMPLE

THIRUMALAI - TIRUPATI - BALAJI- LORD VENKATESHWARA IS A JAIN TEMPLE OF DRAVID CIVILIZATION.
( A fact supported by Historians, Archaelogist and researchers worldwide)

WORLD'S RICHEST TEMPLE - This is originally a Jain temple converted by Ramanujam/Sankaracharya around 8th century A.D onwards along with 1000s other dravid temples.

ORIGIN OF TEMPLE: THIRTHANKAR
TEMPLE BUILT BY: DRAVIDIAN CIVILIZATIONLORD VENKATESHWARA- NO HISTORICITY, NAME CONVERTED BY ARYAN BRAHMINS.

ORIGINAL IDOL: THIRTHANKAR- NEMINATH -
HIDDEN BY BIG NAMAM , JEWELLARY, FACE COVERED.

Complete idol is covered to hide its original identity. Balaji has been photographed on many occassions without Jewellary and it is found to be Standing thirthankara, which many brahmins believe and admit. Archaelogical scientists, honest historians have proved this to be a Jain temple.
Brahmins also believe even Ramayana is myth and no real things existed whatever depicted in it.

Millions of people visit Balaji temple but no one know reality about this temple. It is truly
dravid temple, which is confirmed by Archaelogical department as Jain temple. Many brahmins silently believe and agree that it is originally Jain temple converted by Ramanujam and Sankaracharya as 1000s of other dravid Jain temples converted, rechristened by Avatar philiosophy. No Historian can ever claim that there was any god by name Lord venkateshwara.

Many historians world wide believe - any given old temple in southern part of India is originally a Jain temple. However it may have changed its name.
As such Hinduism ( word coined by britishers) was not a single religion till recently . It use to be known with hundreds other names in different part of asia. Eg. Saivism, vaishnavism, sanatan, Vaidic and so many different names according to geographical locations. No wonder there are millions of god worshipped. thanks to britishers for reuniting and giving a common name.

Archaeological Senior officers (who chose not to comment much due to political and brahmin (aryan)dominance ) firmly believe that originally complete dravid population was Jain who were not fighters like aryans, and believers of Ahimsa, whose heritage was stolen by cunning aryans who came to India around 3500 years ago. They slowly entered into dravid land grabbed their property, culture, heritage and even literature.

Brahmins had only means to survive with temples, caste system was created by them according to their whims, fooled people with Avatars, mutilated dravid temples, converted them into whatever name they fancied eg. venkateshwara, kapalishwara, varadaperumal, etc which neither has historical identity nor these gods are even talked about in any literature. Moreover these fabricated avatars are not known in other sects of Brahmin religion and Hinduism. Let us say Lord Kapalishwara, or Meenakshi, kamakshi cannot even be identified by people from UP, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujrat. These avatars are only known in few places in South that too among those brahmins who converted Dravid temples to Aryan temples by deceit.

Recent historians who are not influenced politically or motivated by brahimnisation firmly convey that even today no one is interested in publishing real history of dravids which was superimposed by Aryans. their heritage is neglected, their literatures are faked by Brahimins.

For example Thirukural was product of dravid civilization ( written by Jain Saints) but later it was labelled as Hindu literature at the time Hinduism was not known with its present name around 1st century B.C.when sacrifice of animals and vaidic religion was in vogue.

To conclude Tirupati balaji temple is wonderful temple belonging to all devotees, it can be run the way it is going. But atleast its true history and identity has to be made known.

How long millions of people will be fooled with fake identity given to this temple by brahims? How long its abhisekham and other rituals will be performed in private with closed doors.? I think most of gods elsewhere in hinduism whose abhisekham is performed in public view, same way Tirupati's rituals need to be done in open with public view. As we all believe god are not property of brahmins alone, but they belong to devotees.
Why Tirupati Lord venkateshwara's face has to be hidden. When no face of Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord siva, Lord brahma, Lord Ganesha are hidden. This looks quite weird hiding face of god to mislead its real identity.

We would all love to have our god let it be brahmin or jain , it has to be in open for everyone.Let us ask those brahmins to perform all pooja, abhisekham openly, not to hide with curtains or by closing doors. There is absolutely no need to keep God in private if this is real .
One real good picture has to be published as it was created many centuries ago as Lord Neminath without jewellary , namams and flowers, let their devotees see their own lovely god without barrier. afterall devotee when comes with 100 % pure devotion they must be allowed to see their real god 100%, not loaded with jewellary, artificial foreign elements which are used for covering true identity. This is one of reason only 2 % of complete structure is visible to devotees, which doesn't happen with Lord Krishna, Lord Rama, Lord Hanuman, Lord Ganesha in other parts of India. God's identy is hidden only in such temples when temple would have been converted from Jain temple and their naming is done on fabricated, non-historical avatars.
Can we request temple authorities to reveal its true identity and to see full face and posture of god . Can we have real photograph without artificial projected hands, face and other parts.

I think brahmins would never allow to do that. Our brahmin dominated society is far away from truth, they have managed to reverse complete history of this country.

Let us request our government to atleast make the truth available to every devotee, not living under the myths and stories. Indian courts have already declared few decades ago, this being truly jain temple. Unfortunately today people think jains are only who are from part of Rajasthan, Gujraj or some pockets of North India who are basically trading community. But truth is that real Jains are only who were dravidians. Present Jains in Rajasthan, gujrat are only few who converted from Aryan brahmin religion. Original Jains from ages are dravids (original inhabitants of bharat)who are living in Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala , bihar into farming, labour jobs and are very poor, whose heritage was looted, converted which is as old as 4th century b.c. - can be found abandoned or converted all over. jainism existed much before lord Mahavira.
North American based historians have traced Jain history upto 8000 years old with enough evidences and proof. An American historian has said Lord rishabnath has been renamed as Lord Siva.

From ages dravid history has been mutilated, wrongly potrayed by so called responsbile vested interests of society, politics and even government. It is Aryans whose history, mythology and wrong facts are superimposed over dravid history, who were immigrants to India.
Dr Santhalingam, senior director of Archaelogical survey and his assistant, and ASI has unpublished researched facts which clearly state that , Every old temple in south was once jain temple, presently known with different identity created by brahmins, few such examples out of 1000s of dravid jain temples converted to Brahmin temples are:

1) Madurai meenakshi temple
2) kanchipuram kamakshi temple (Kanchipuram has more than 100 temples)
3) varadaperumal temple ( kanchipuram)
4) thiruvanmalai Arunachalam temple
5)Mylapore kapaliswara temple
6) nagaraja temple nagercoil
7) Thirumala balaji temple, ( total resemblance to thirumalai jain temple in Arni district)

Dr. Santhalingam expressed that due to political circumstances these facts cannot be disclosed or published, but facts remain same. He also said thiruvalluvar was a Jain saint who wrote thirukural, he has done enough research but unable to publish same.Even Tamil was evolved from dravid Jain civilization born out of brahmi language. Enough evidences are avaialable from epigraphy. As per him aryan brahims invaded jain temples and converted them as their source of livelihood.

Let us all pray to Lord venkateshwara ( Lord Neminath) to protect our devotees and believers without the help of agents ( brahmins) , and let everyone know its true identity and real name, no matter Aryan Jains, dravid jains, or saivist or vaishnavaites control this temple. It is common for all the devotees. Worshiping any god without knowing real identity can only add to our ignorance. There shouldn't be any force which would work towards faking our very own god's name.

jain saga

Jainism is the religion professed by the Jains, so called because they follow the path practiced and preached by the Jinas. The term is an English rendering of the original Jaina-dharma or Jina -dharma. German Jainologists, like, Leumann, Winternitz and Schubring, prefer the form Jainsmus or Jinism, which they consider to be the etymologically correct rendering. Both the forms are, however, correct, Jainism meaning the religion of the Jains and Jinism that of the Jina, although the former is more popular and in current use both in literature and common parlance. Await an info-visual treat soon....Nirvana World's first documentary on Jain religion with a special emphasis on Jains in Kerala, their contributions in various fields, life, traditions, customs n practices.

In Jainism, Rishabh Dev (ऋषभदेव) or Adinatha (आदिनाथ) (other names used: Riṣhabh, Riṣhabhanāth, Rushabh, Rushabhdev, Adinath or Adishwar or Kesariyaji; Sanskrit ṛṣabha meaning "best, most excellent") was the first of the 24 Tirthankara. He belonged to the House of Ikshwaku, which was also known as the "House of the Sun".

Modern scholars are of opinion that Rishabha was a historical person based on many archeological and literary evidences. P. C. Roychoudary puts the date of Rishabha at the end of Stone Age and beginning of Agriculture age. The modern historians like Ramprasad Chandra, Dr. Vilas Sangave , Dr. Heinrich Zimmer, John Marshall, Thomas McEvilley and Mircea Eliade are of opinion that there exists some link between Rishabha and Indus valley civilization. Terracotta seals and other evidences unearthed at the ancient cities of Harrapa and Mohenjo Daro provide a link between Rsabha and Indus Valley Civilisation.

In his Indus Valley Civilisation and Hindu Culture, the eminent scholar P.R. Deshmukh says that the first Jain Tirthankara belonged to Indus Valley Civilisation. Prof. Ram Prasad Chanda, who supervised Indus Valley Civilisation excavations, states in his article Mohen-jo-Daro: Sindh 5000 Years Ago in Modern Review (August, 1932) that, “Not only the seated deities on some of the Indus seals are in Yoga posture and bear witness to the prevalence of Yoga in the Indus Valley Civilisation in that remote age, the standing deities on the seals also show Kayotsarga (a standing or sitting posture of meditation) position. The Kayotsarga posture is peculiarly Jain. It is a posture not of sitting but of standing. In the Adi Purana Book XV III, the Kayotsarga posture is described in connection with the penance of Rsabha, also known as Vrsabha.”

Christopher Key Chappel, quoting many scholars, provides the following evidences connecting Rsabha with Indian valley civilisation :-

1. Seal 420, unearthed at Mohenjodaro portrays a person with 3 or possibly 4 faces. Jaina iconography frequently depicts its tirtahnkaras with four faces, symbolizing their missionary activities in all four directions.
2. Another seal depicts seven persons in upright position with arms somewhat hanging somewhat stiffly and held slightly away from the sides of the body which McEvilley correlates with the Jaina Kayatsarga pose, the posture in which the very first Tirthankara, Rshabha, is said to have entered kevala. While this can be interpreted in may ways, Richard Lannoy however does see Jaina influences on this seal : “That of a nude man represented as a repeat-motif in a rigidly upright position, legs slightly apart, arms held parallel to the sides of his body, which recurs as a Jaina tirthankara, repeated row upon row.
3. Depictions of a bull appear repeatedly in the artifacts of the Indus Valley, Lannoy, McEvilly, and Padmanabh Jaini all have suggested that the abundant use of the bull image in the Indus Valley civilization indicates a link with Rsabha, the first of the twenty four Tirthankaras, whose companion animal is the bull. Rishaba was later Known as Siva, or Pashupati or Shankar with Nandi(bull-vrishbha), who was only connection between Brahminic( aryan) and Sramanic System. Hence Saivism is another form of primitive dravidian sramanic system ( Jainism). Rshaba and Siva's birthday falls on same day. These similarities prove connection between Jain thirthankar Adinath(Rshaba) and Siva ( also known as Pasupati, Mahadev, Sankar, Rudra). Adinath is also also known as Arugar(Murugar) in Tamil , the oldest god of dravidian culture. Dravidians even today are worshippers of Arugar or Adinath (siva).

 4. By following Puranik Literature the historical personality Rishabhdeo as a founder of jainism is revealed.

On this basis of antiquity & historicity of Jainism which is prior to Vedic religion -has been established. Dr. Vishudhanand Pathak and Pandit Jaishankar Mishra support this fact and they have written that :-

"Jainism has historical facts and it is non-vedic.It prevailed before vedic influence arrived in India. The Yogi idol found in Indus Valley and certain Mantras of Rigveda prescribe the names of Rishabhdeo and Aristhnemi which are main basis of this ideaology. The story of Lord Rishabh in Bhagwat and Vishnu Puran also clearifies the antiquity of Jain religion". (Bhartiya Itihas and Sanskrati -pages 199-200).

In same manner Jainacharya Vidyanandji has given proof in his thesis "Mohan-jo-daro and Jain Parampra" (page 12) which is to be noted. He has given proof in following manner :-

"That antiquity of Jainism is beyond any discussion, facts of its antiquity can be realised by two means- Archaeologically and Historically. It is difficult to decide as to when Jainism begin, but excavations at Mohanjodaro and Harappa has atleast proven Jainism to be not less than 6000 years old. In excavation naked body of human has been found. The naked position is Kayotsarga posture.Symbol of bull is relevant to Rishab and not relevant to any vedic identity. T.N. Ramchandran who was Chief Director of Archaeological Department at that time, examined it cautiously. In his thesis book "Harappa and Jainism" (at page 4) it is clearly mentioned that the idol is of Rishabhdeo or Lord Rishabh (Adinath). It states that :-

"The idol carved in Kayotsarga Mudra in Harappa is fully a Sramanic, non-vedic idol. On its face the simplicity or grace appears from distance."

Dr. Kashiprasad Jayaswal has also compared the same with the one of oldest idol of Tirthankar (Lord) Mahavir found in India. There is clear resemblance in naked idol of Harappa and this Jain idol. Their superiority is Yog Mudra (The Indus valley civilisation and Rishabhdeo V.G. Nair Page-1). Yoga as claimed by vedic masters ,is originally part of proto-dravidian brahmi , non-sanskrit culture, thus it is non-vedic and considered to be part of Jain, sraminic or vratya culture.

Thirukural also talk about Lord Adinath in its very first stanza, which was written by Jain saint Thiruvalluvar around 1 Century B.C. However Thirukural is again claimed as Vedic literature, at the time when brahminic influence did not exist in South India till late 4th Century A.D. Roots of Jainism is now historically claimed to be more of proto-dravidian and pre-vedic.

EU REVISES LAWS TO BETTER PROTECT ANIMALS USED FOR SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENTS

9 September 2010 The European Parliament has voted to revise legislation on animals used for scientific purposes. The revised legislation, first proposed by the European Commission in 2008, will strengthen the protection of animals still... needed for research and safety testing. The new directive will also play a significant role in minimising the number of animals used in experiments, and require alternatives to be used where possible, whilst ensuring a level playing field for EU industry and enhancing the quality of research conducted in the EU. European Environment Commissioner Janez Potočnik said: "Today's vote ends a long negotiation process, which has shown how sensitive and important the issues at stake are. However, everyone agreed that it is vital to improve the situation for animals still needed in scientific research and safety testing, whilst maintaining a high standard of research and improving the focus on finding alternative methods to animal testing. The European Union will soon have the highest standards of experimental animal welfare in the world.".. www.evana.org

(Determination of Age and Life) ~ Ayushya Karma

He who has earned the Ayushya (age) Karma of the Devagathi (divine world), becomes an angel or a Deva. He who has earned the Ayushya Karma of the Manushya Gathi (mankind), becomes a human being. He who has earned the Ayushya Karma of theTiryancha Gathi (world of birds, animals, plants)becomes a bird or an animal or a plant. He who has earned the Ayushya Karma of the Naraka Gathi (hell), goes to hell. He who strictly follows the discipline and rules of religion, earns the life of a Deva, He who is charitable, merciful and performs the religious activities, earns the life of a human being. He who cheats and deceives others, earns the life of a bird or an animal or a plant. He who is violent, criminal and kills another, goes to Hell.Owing to this Karma one has to be born, has to live and die in this world. The age limit in the next birth is determined in this life.Once it is fixed it cannot be changed. One has to be born in the next life only in that world as determined by Ayushya Karma. One has to live there for the period fixed by Ayushya Karma and then die.So goes the cycle of birlh and death.
